Open Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, this renowned Soho restaurant boasts a wonderfully OTT design -  all booth seating, leather banquettes, marble table tops, limed oak panelling and hand-printed Japanese wallpaper - by the late David Collins. For Christmas, Bob Bob Ricard's signature Beef Wellington for Two is the ideal choice but there are other comfort food options like lobster macaroni and cheese and monogrammed chicken, mushroom and Champagne pie as well as a selection of Russian flavours. Petrossian Caviar, traditional dumplings and fine vodka served at -18C are accompanied by a wine list which includes vintage bottles for those who really want to celebrate in style.  For group parties, there's the private room inspired by the Royal Dining Carriage, designed to accommodate between 10 and 16 guests.

Swish hotel Sanderson London is serving up a five-course festive lunch on Christmas Day, priced at £95 per person and £55 per children under 12. The Restaurant at Sanderson will kick things off with a glass of Laurent Perrier La Cuvee Champagne and foie gras on toasted brioche with truffle walnut sauce before serving a starter of pan-fried halibut with saffron risotto and pickled fennel. For mains, diners can enjoy traditional turkey with all the trimming followed by a pudding of either Christmas pudding or dark chocolate tart and then coffee, tea and mince pies. The lunch will be served between 12pm and 4pm.


The Savoy Grill

Set in the opulent Art Deco surrounds of  The Savoy Hotel, the "moodily lit", "glamorous" Savoy Grill (The Independent) offers an elegant Christmas experience, serving both a six-course lunch (for £220 per head) and six-course dinner (£150). Starters include Cornish crab dressed with homemade sourdough toast; duck and foie gras terrine, clementine salad and brioche; and classic smoked salmon with soda bread and traditional garnish. Mains, meanwhile, include traditional turkey with chipolata, sage stuffing and bread sauce; roasted fillet of beef with roasted shallot sauce; and pan fried turbot, salsify and a caviar veloute. After cleansing your palate with a lemon and cranberry sorbet, you can then feast on a Christmas pudding with brandy clotted cream, Bramley apple and salted caramel mille feuille or vanilla crème brulee with pain d'epice ice cream.


York & Albany

Housed in an elegant John Nash designed 1820s coaching house moments from Regent's Park, the York & Albany is the perfect stop off for a luxury lunch after a leisurely stroll in north London's largest park. The five-course Christmas menu kicks off with a Jerusalem artichoke soup followed by dressed Scottish lobster with caviar or beef carpaccio with celeriac and winter truffle. Guests can then choose between roast turkey with all the trimmings, beef wellington or grilled sea bass before either a Christmas pudding, dark chocolate mousse with marmalade ice cream or truffle tunworth with quince jelly and crackers, followed by mince pies. All this comes at £115 per person. 


The Cinnamon Club

Fresh from an impressive £1 million refurbishment, The Cinnamon Club in the magnificent Old Westminster Library offers a modern Indian-style feast for Christmas Day. Switch turkey for South Indian spiced goose breast with red onion and curry leaf, just one of the dishes in a four-course feast (costing £100 per person) which starts with an aperitif of Christmas punch. To start, choose from Keralan style lobster soup flamed with cognac and served with garlic naan; stir-fry shrimps with cracked black pepper and curry leaf on rice pancake; or Tandoori breast of Scottish pheasant with soola masala and coriander chutney. An interim course of chickpea and sesame cake with smoked aubergine chutney will then be served followed by mains including slow-braised Herdwick milk-fed lamb shoulder, roast cauliflower with truffled achari sauce and the aforementioned spiced goose breast. Puddings include garam masala Christmas pudding with nutmeg custard, spiced pumpkin cake with cinnamon ice cream and green cardamom brulee with rose petal biscotti. The restaurant also offers a child-friendly, spice-free appetiser and main course.

All four Cubitt House gastropubs are opening their doors on Christmas Day: The Thomas CubittThe Orange in Pimlico, The Alfred Tennyson in Belgravia and The Grazing Goat in Marylebone. Each is unique but all have the same Cubitt House feel - think cosy, classy gastropub with pale wood panelling and large French doors - and all three are serving a festive set menu (at £85 per person) on 25th December.

If you'd rather gaze at the London skyline than an overflowing dishwasher this Christmas, book in for a festive meal at Duck and Waffle. The sky-high restaurant is serving a special menu on Christmas Day, with bacon wrapped dates, caramelised celeriac and truffle soup, and braised short rib on the menu. Vegetarians, meanwhile, can feast on Jerusalem artichoke ravioli with caramelised cauliflower and brown butter crumble. This will be followed by Cropwell Bishop stilton, chocolate fondant with peanut butter ganache, and coffee and mince pies. The meal is priced at £85 per person and available between 11.30am and 4pm.

Diners will be able to feast on three courses for £75 per person, kicking things off with either vegetable spring rolls, roasted duck salad or crispy calamari salad. For mains, there is the option of traditional turkey with all the trimmings or, more those who prefer to add a bit of spice to their festivities, there's tamarind-glazed salmon, seven spice chicken, coffee-crusted ribeye and vegan sofrito pad Thai. For dessert, keep things traditional with Christmas pudding or opt for a guava-whipped cheesecake or Mexican doughnuts.

Starters include venison carpaccio, maple cured salmon, and ham hock and chicken terrine while for main you can feast on roasted Norfolk turkey with pine nut stuffing, fillet of British beef with bone marrow gratin, winter cep gnocchi or pan-roasted turbot with cauliflower and champagne foam. For mains, there is, of course, turkey with stuffing and cranberry sauce as well as wild halibut with shrimp, fillet of beef with oxtail and smoked bacon and a wild mushroom Wellington with truffle vinaigrette. Finish it off with Christmas pudding and brandy butter, a tipsy trifle, chocolate pudding with champagne ice cream or Bramley apple Bakewell tart before feasting on a selection of cheese, fruit cake, mince pies and truffles. This modern restaurant offers a hearty set menu this Christmas.

Modern European restaurant Percy & Founders promises to do the hard work for you this Christmas with a decadent menu that aims to spread yuletide cheer. Available from 12pm to 8pm and costing £85 per person, the occasion kicks off with a glass of NV Billecart-Salmon, Brut Reserve Champagne on arrival. Choose between dressed lobster and prawn, chicken and trompette mushroom terrine, and Jerusalem artichoke soup to start before tucking into either roast turkey with all the trimmings, roast stone bass or squash and mushroom Wellington. Pudding options are a warm chocolate brownie, a poached pear and almond tart or traditional Christmas pudding, followed by stilton and truffle brie with spicy chutney, crapes and crackers. 


Rosewood London

Both of Rosewood London's in-house restaurants are open for Christmas Day this year and the luxury surroundings are the perfect place to celebrate the occasion. The Holborn Dining Room will serve a three-course menu inspired by the classic British Christmas Day feast, kicking off with a selection of starters such as potted foie gras, shellfish cocktail, cauliflower soup and baked lobster thermidor tart. For main, there's either roast turkey with braised red cabbage and cranberry sauce or alternatives such as ribeye steak with pepper sauce, wild sea bass with red wine jus or fillet of cod with truffle mash and Cornish bacon. Puddings are indulgent with spiced custard tart and chocolate fondant among the options while a roaming jazz trio and a visit from Father Christmas will add to the festivities. The Mirror Room will also offer live jazz and a visit from the big man as well as a selection of elegant canapes followed by a festive five-course menu. 


Bluebird Chelsea

The Chelsea favourite puts a modern twist on Christmas with a three-course menu.

Chelsea favourite the Bluebird puts a modern twist on Christmas with an indulgent three-course menu for £100 per person. Starters include roasted pumpkin velouté with candied hazelnuts and sour cream; London cure smoked salmon with celeriac remoulade and caviar; and foie gras and ham hock terrine with clementine marmalade and toasted brioche. Turkey is available for main but there's also the choice of roast beef with black truffle and garlic and potato puree; creamed polenta with roasted ceps, buttered sprouts, black truffle and Berkswell; and grilled monkfish with smoked artichoke, lobster and forest mushrooms. For pudding, again there is the traditional option of Christmas pudding or chocolate tart with ginger bread and clotted cream, vanilla crème brûlée with lemon madeleine, sticky toffee pudding with stem ginger ice cream or profiterole, salt caramel and cinnamon ice cream. Alternatively, finish things of with cheese, chutney and oatcakes.


The Ned

The Ned celebrates its first Christmas with four of the restaurants serving a festive feast on the big day. Millie's Lounge, The Nickel Bar and Lutyens Grill will serve a feast of roast turkey, smoked salmon and roast beef with all the trimmings as well as yule log, spiced cake and mince pieces. Cecconi's, meanwhile, will serve a four-course lunch menu with dishes such as burrata and carpaccio, spaghetti lobster and truffle risotto. There will also be a line-up of live music and entertainment from The Nickel Stage. The Festive Feast costs £80 and includes a drink on arrival and as much food as you can eat while Cecconi's Christmas menu is £110 per person for a drink on arrival and four courses.

Chef Francesco Mazzei puts an Italian twist on Christmas dinner with a sumptuous feast. Guests will be greeted with a glass of prosecco on arrival before sitting down to enjoy a starter of pumpkin soup and mascarpone with antipasti selection. The main course is, of course, roast breast of turkey with pumpkin, lentils, cotechino and candied fruit and it will all be concluded with a traditional grilled panettone - a citrus infused cake that's Italy's answer to Christmas - with cinnamon ice cream for dessert. The feast costs £55 per person while a special children's menu costs £30.


La Dame de Pic

Recently awarded a Michelin star, La Dame de Pic brings some luxury to Christmas Day with a special six-course menu from French chef Anne-Sophie Pic. Choose between lunch and dinner sittings and feast on dishes such as Scottish langoustine marinated with white heather honey and yuzu zest, venison and foie gras with truffle and cocoa bean, and the che's signature berlingots - pasta parcels with lightly smoked cheese with a watercress consommé infused with ginger, bergamot and black truffle. For dessert, there's a traditional Christmas log. The menu costs £165 per person and there's also the option of adding a classic or premium wine pairing for £130 or £190.
