Steak is the main attraction at STK, an American import which has already seen success in New York and now comes to the Foster Partners designed ME Hotel in London. With its celebrity clientele and glamourous decor, STK is "a restaurant for those who those who like their steak with a side of party" (The Independent). This modern steakhouse combines hand-selected, hand-cut beef with a chic bar/lounge and DJs spinning the tunes - the bar is central to the STK experience and there's a wide selection of beers, wines and an eclectic list of cocktails. Aside from steak, there's tuna tartare, wasabi, avocado and sticky soy, prawn rice krispies, shellfish bisque and coriander, pear and endive salad, wagyu burgers, and signature dishes which include parmesan truffle friles, lil' BRGs, sweet corn pudding and jumbo lump crab salad. To go with your steak - which is, after all, what we're here for - there are sides of lobster mac and cheese, and sweet corn fritters and spicy ketchup to accompany the main event.
Based on the popular Asellina restaurant attached to the Gansevoort Park Hotel in downtown New York, Cucina Asellina presents Italian home-cooked food in a contemporary setting. Along with STK it is one of two restaurants at the Norman Foster designed ME London Hotel. The design, also by Foster Partners, is similar to its New York sister venue with terracotta walls, black metal lighting frames surrounding high-top tables and an earthy polished concrete floor. On the menu, created by Executive Chef Marco Porceddu, are antipasti plates, traditional pizzas and flatbreads from the wood-burning oven - the wild mushroom, fontina and spring onion pizza is a signature dish. Pasta is made on site daily - try the old fashioned square spaghetti with pomodoro, fresh basil and olive oil. Main courses include strozzapreti with prawns, and stuffed cerignola olives with roasted veal. Finish with a classic Italian dessert - tiramisu, affogato or gelato - or opt for passion fruit cheesecake with raspberry ice cream. Open from 10am until midnight for all day dining, this casual Italian is surprisingly affordable given the 5-star setting.
Marconi Lounge Bar
The ground-floor Marconi Bar has well cushioned white leather sofas.
The ground-floor Marconi Bar is named after the great telecommunications innovator, Guglielmo Marconi, in homage to the building's former role as the site of the first BBC broadcast in 1922. The stylish lobby lounge bar, which has white leather seating lit by interlocking circle chandeliers, is a place to have fresh coffee, homemade cakes, and tea in the afternoon. By late afternoon the mood shifts to a more fun, social atmosphere, a place for pre-dinner cocktails and meeting friends before a special night out.
ME London Gym
The well equipped gym is on the ground floor of the hotel.
The gym is located on the ground floor of the hotel and is well equipped with Technogym equipment including power plates, treadmills, cross trainers and exercise bikes with integrated TV monitor with touch screens so you can have TV and music while you train. The gym area also includes a variety of weights and space for floor work. The gym is free for all our hotel guests and is open 24 hours a day.
