Greenwich Peninsula, 1 Green Place, London, SE10 0PE

Tube: North Greenwich Station

Dates: 5th to 22nd October 2017

This autumn, German brewery Erdinger presents an authentic Oktoberfest experience in London. The brewery will build a traditional Bavarian beer hall with a capacity of 5,000 people on the Greenwich Peninsula for two weeks in October, with over 220 bench tables set in a huge open-plan hall made from wooden floors and walls. The interior will be decorated with floral garlands and a traditional blue and white striped roof while the exterior will be purpose built to resemble a traditional 19th-century Bavarian beer hall. There will be live music and entertainment, a full-scale German fun fair, food stalls selling traditional Bavarian food and, most importantly of all, over 25,000 pints of premium Erdinger Weissbier (wheat beer) and smooth lager Fischers Hell shipped directly from the brewery in Bavaria. Over 40 expert Bavarian waitresses will also be flying over to serve the guests and train British staff how to carry up to 10 steins of beer at one time.
