THIS EVENT ENDED ON THE 12TH JULY 2014
Ai Weiwei returns to the Lisson Gallery for his third exhibition this May, for which he has created a new installation of bicycles for his ongoing series 'Forever'. The exhibition will also feature domestic-scale copies of objects personal to the artist, made from a variety of materials ranging from wood to crystal. Among these will be his father's armchair, various handmade facsimiles of coat hangers and handcuffs, and wooden handles taken from Beijing taxis. Some of the sculptures also make reference to Weiwei's 81 days in detention in 2011.
