All About Piano! FestivalLaunched in 2013 following the restoration of the Institut franais' grand piano, All About Piano enters its fifth year, starting on Friday 31st March with international star Melvyn Tan. He plays Catching Fire, a piece specially written for his 60th birthday by friend and composer Jonathan Dove. Throughout the festival you can hear jazz improvisation, storytelling in French for toddlers, a film screening with music played by pianist and composer Laurent Perez del Mar and hear a talk by a Steinway master piano tuner. Bringing the festival to a close, The Piano Brothers play a mix of classical music and modern classics, from Adele to Muse, and throw in a few surprises along the way.
