All the World's A Stage: 120 Years of Richmond TheatreIn the year that it celebrates its 120th birthday, Richmond Theatre is taking visitors on a journey back in time with All the World's A Stage: 120 Years of Richmond Theatre. The special one-night-only event will see Theatre Director Brendan Riding and a line-up of special guests delve into the history of the venue, providing and informative and imaginative insight into one of Frank Matcham's best surviving masterpieces. From the building of the theatre to the shows it has staged, the unique uncovering will explore its entire history.

 

About Richmond Theatre

The Victorian Richmond Theatre, which opened on 18 September 1899 with a performance of As You Like It, is one of the best examples of work by theatrical architect Frank Matcham. The interior is ornate, with lots of gilt detailing and plush fabrics. More about Richmond Theatre
