The Best Of BE FestivalA slice of the BE (Birmingham European) Festival, combining three daring performances and dinner alongside the visiting artists. The three prize-winning shows being performed at The Pit are 'From the Waltz to the Mambo' by Hungary's Radioballet, Austrian Julia Schwarzbach's 'Loops and Breaks', and 'Waiting' by the award-winning Mokhallad Rasem from Belgium/Iraq. The BE Festival has gained a reputation for bringing Europe's most original new theatre to the UK which transcend the language barrier. Informal post-show discussions also give viewers a chance to exchange ideas with the creators.

About Barbican The Pit

In the two theatre spaces - the Barbican Theatre and the Pit - you can enjoy everything from gritty reality to far-flung fantasy, from dance to drama, from established artists to those at the start of their careers. One of the country's largest arts centres, the distinctive concrete walls of the Barbican continue to house high quality theatrical productions. More about Barbican The Pit
