Birmingham Royal Ballet: The Prince Of Pagodas

The Japanese fairytale of a lonely Princess Sakura, The Prince of the Pagodas, is newly-choreographed by David Bintley in what is billed as "one of the most exciting UK ballet premieres of 2014". This imaginative reworking of a classic fairytale comes with spectacular and imaginative costumes from War Horse designer Rae Smith and is performed to the only full-length ballet score composed by Benjamin Britten. These London Coliseum premiere performances by the Birmingham Royal Ballet are the culmination of the year-long Britten 100 celebrations.

About London Coliseum - English National Opera (ENO)

London Coliseum is a magnificent historic building and an excellent venue in which to enjoy the soaring sounds and high drama of some truly thrilling operas. This impressive theatre, which started its life as a venue for variety shows, is now - conversely - indistinguishable from its artistically first-class company in residence, the English National Opera.
