Chef and Tea Curator Afternoon TeaExploring the relationship between tea and gastronomy, The Modern Pantry will be hosting a unique afternoon tea this Friday. Renowned chef Anna Hansen MBE and boutique British tea curators Lalani & Co will work together to create a specially designed menu of tempting foods and their flavour matching teas. The occasion isn't for fussy eaters with diners invited to feast on a curious menu of white chocolate, Urfa chilli and black garlic caramel truffle, and grape and verjus compote, cinder toffee and caraway crumble. With the Modern Pantry already known for its innovative dishes and 5 star afternoon tea, this will be an opportunity to take explore new tastes and flavours. Guests will also be provided with a gift from Lalani & Co's tea library.

About The Modern Pantry

Anna Hansen hasn't moved far from her former employer Fergus Henderson - whom she worked with back in 1992 at The French Dining House Room - setting up her Clerkenwell restaurant, The Modern Pantry, just down the road from his landmark eaterie, the St John. More about The Modern Pantry
