Back for its third year, GrandFest is a one-day mini festival that celebrates the heritage skills of talented older people, aiming to inspire the younger generation to learn new skills. Presented by the Royal Voluntary Service charity, it sees restaurants, pubs and shops around Spitalfields present a series of masterclasses, from crochet to lacemaking and bread making to woodturning, all hosted by teachers over 70. Venues taking part include the Geffrye Museum, Anthropologie, The Ten Bells, Blixen and AGA London while performances will also take place on the GrandFest stage in Bishops Square.
