Guildhall Symphony OrchestraThis performance by the Guildhall Symphony Orchestra will be the first at Milton Court, the Guildhall Schools brand new state-of-the-art performance venue which includes a 608-seat concert hall, a 227-seat theatre, and a flexible studio theatre. Following this Friday night performance of Beethovens Symphony No 9 in D minor played by alumni of the school, Milton Courts theatres will open with a Chekhov season with two of the Russian dramatists major plays featuring actors in their final year.

About Milton Court, Guildhall School of Music & Drama

Milton Court, opened in September 2013, provides the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with state-of-the-art performance and teaching facilities. The £89 million building on Silk Street includes a 608-seat concert hall, two theatres - one seating 227 people and the other a studio - three rehearsal rooms, a television studio suite as well as departments for costume, wigs and make-up, office space, tutorial rooms and light-filled public foyers.
