Ibrahim El-Salahi: A Visionary ModernistThe UK's first major exhibition of Sudanese artist Ibrahim El-Salahi (b.1930) is put on by Tate Modern this summer. Ibrahim El-Salahi: A Visionary Modernist brings together 100 gloriously colourful works from across more than five decades of his international career. This retrospective will highlight one of the most significant figures in African and Arab Modernism, and reveal his place in the context of a broader, global art history.

About Tate Modern

Located along the banks of the River Thames in the former Bankside Power Station, originally designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott in 1947, the architect of Battersea Power Station, Tate Modern opened to great acclaim in 2000. Since then it has welcomed millions of visitors through its imposing doors. More about Tate Modern
