Kaffe Fassett - A Life in ColourThe colourful world of the American-born artist Kaffe Fassett is celebrated at the Fashion and Textile Museum where the work of one of the great practitioners of contemporary craft goes on display from 22nd March 2013. This exhibition, Kaffe Fassett - A Life in Colour, is the first in London since Fassett's retrospective at the Victoria and Albert Museum in 1988, the year he designed a gold medal winning garden for the Chelsea Flower Show. The museum - itself testament to the uplifting power of colour - hosts a special installation featuring over 100 works, including 9-foot-wide knitted shawls, patchwork fabrics, yarns and knits as well as items especially created for this show and not seen in public before. You can also get all 'touchy-feely' with the textiles through a 'feeling' wall that uses touch to help explore the fabrics on display.

About Fashion and Textile Museum

The fashionista behind the Fashion and Textile Museum is Zandra Rhodes, the colourful designer who won the Designer of the Year award in 1972 and in 1974. Despite her flamboyant and out there designs she became a Royal Designer for Industry and was made Commander of the British Empire in 1997. More about Fashion and Textile Museum
