LazarusIt was well received in New York and now, this autumn, Lazarus, co-written by David Bowie and Enda Walsh, comes to London's King's Cross Theatre under the direction of Ivo van Hove, best known for his award winning adaptation of Arthur Miller's "A View From the Bridge". Reprising their roles from the original New York production are Dexter and Six Feet Under actor Michael C Hall (who plays Thomas Newton), Michael Esper (Valentine) and Sophia Anne Caruso (Girl). Inspired by the book, The Man Who Fell To Earth, Lazarus focuses on Thomas Newton, as he remains still on Earth - a 'man' but also a humanoid alien, unable to die, his head soaked in cheap gin and haunted by a past love. "This new stage version interpolates Bowie songs into a more impressionistic take on the material." says The Guardian's review.

About King's Cross Theatre

A purpose built 1,000-seat theatre, complete with a railway track and platforms, created especially for Mike Kenny's Olivier Award-winning adaptation of E. Nesbit's 'The Railway Children'. The King's Cross Theatre has a state of the art heating system, railway track and platforms, and has been built on a site on King's Boulevard, behind King's Cross Station, loaned to the production by Google, who own the land.
