Live by the LakeAfter a one year break, the English Heritage open-air concerts at Kenwood House return with Live by the Lake. The 2013 line-up features Indie band Suede and special guests British Sea Power (Friday 23rd August), a Choral Greats Firework Spectacular (Saturday 24th August), rock band Keane (Sunday 25th August) with support from singer-songwriter Laura Mvula, a live open-air cinema screening of Singin' in the Rain featuring the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra (Friday 30th August), Opera Alfresco starring Ana Maria Martinez and the ENO Orchestra (Saturday 31st August), and an evening of Gershwin starring Michael Ball to wrap up the festival on Sunday 1st September 2013. These Kenwood House events have been a highlight of London summers since 1951 so it's great to see the festival returning for 2013.

About Kenwood House

A rich collection of famous paintings are housed within the walls of this neo-Classical villa perched by a lake on top of Hampstead Heath. Works by Rembrandt, Vermeer, Turner, Reynolds and Gainsborough form the famous Iveagh Bequest, handed down to the state by the owner of Kenwood House, brewing magnate Edward Cecil Guinness.
