THIS EVENT ENDED ON THE 15TH AUGUST 2013
Canadian jazzy folk-rock singer-songwriter Martha Wainwright brings her expressive voice and arsenal of powerful songs to the Union Chapel on Thursday 15th August 2013. Part of a musical dynasty - parents Loudon Wainwright III and Kate McGarrigle are folk legends while brother Rufus has quite a following - Wainwright broke onto the scene with her eponymous debut album in 2005, which contained the angrily named single Bloody Mother F---ing A--hole (dedicated to Loudon himself). Her kookily titled second album, I Know You're Married But I've Got Feelings Too, proved Wainwright's stock was on the rise, with The Observer claiming the record represented "a sure-footed, emotionally engaging step up the ladder".
