MeatopiaIt's a case of meat without the two veg at Meatopia this September. Originally conceived by food writer Josh Ozersky in New York, the concept now transfers to London and will be the biggest festival of BBQ and smoking that the capital has seen. Taking place at Tobacco Docks, the occasion welcomes the likes of Tony Adams of Pitt Cue, Sam Daffin of BBQWhiskeyBeer and Neil Rankin of Smokehouse to celebrate the very best of BBQing and music. The carnivore's paradise will treat guests to tasting sized portions of dishes from a number of renowned chefs and iconic restaurants. Diners can expect charcoal grilled deckle steak from the Hawksmoor, grilled Korean chicken wings from Gizzi Erskine, BBQ pigs head from Duck & Waffle, The Run BMC Burger from Almost Famous and much, much more. To wash it all down there will also be craft beer, aged spirits and a selection of wines. Side orders come in the form of live music from Lee Thompson Ska Orchestra, a DJ set from Tom Findley of Groove Armada, cabaret performances, art installations and a few random acts of weirdness.

About Tobacco Dock

Built in the early 19th century as a secure warehouse for receipt and storage of tobacco from the New World, Tobacco Dock is now a unique space that plays host to high profile events each year. Re-launched in October 2012, it has its own outdoor, quayside space as well as a Great Gallery, Vaults, a Quayside Bar and unique walkways that stretch for more than 100 metres.
