Meschac Gaba: Museum of Contemporary African Art This immersive twelve-room installation by Benin artist Meschac Gaba at Tate Modern questions the nature of the museum and perceptions of African art. Constructed over a five year period, Museum of Contemporary African Art invites visitors to see and interact with a vast array of objects and environments. This free exhibition will be the first time the installation - recently purchased by the Tate - has been shown in its entirety in the UK.

About Tate Modern

Located along the banks of the River Thames in the former Bankside Power Station, originally designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott in 1947, the architect of Battersea Power Station, Tate Modern opened to great acclaim in 2000. Since then it has welcomed millions of visitors through its imposing doors. More about Tate Modern
