Paul Auster's City Of GlassOne of the great masterpieces of contemporary American fiction, Paul Auster's City of Glasssets out in the guise of a mystery thriller but is really about the life-or-death psychological struggle of its main protagonist, Quinn. 59 Productions - the award-winning company behind the videos used in the Opening Ceremony of the 2012 London Olympic Games - HOME and Lyric Hammersmith present a new production featuring many of the visual techniques that have made 59 Productions "the leading purveyors of video for theatre in the world" (The Guardian). About Lyric Hammersmith

Frank Matcham's velvet and gilt theatre was saved from demolition - following a public outcry - by being carefully dismantled, moved from its location further down King Street and then rehoused on its current site. As a consequence, the Lyric Hammersmith's gorgeous Victorian auditorium is housed in a severely utlitarian concrete cube, above Kings Mall shopping centre. More about Lyric Hammersmith
