Pericles, Prince of Tyre, is forced to flee his own kingdom and wander the world in Shakespeare's romance. Shakespeare's Globe presents Pericles as one of a trio of plays exploring the themes of refuge and displacement, performed as a touring production would have been staged in the 17th century, with a stripped back set and a small, versatile troupe of actors. As well as Pericles, the ensemble will be performing The Comedy of Errors and Twelfth Night in the Globe Theatre throughout the summer - including during Refugee Week. For five performances only the audience gets to vote for which of the three plays they want to see.

About Shakespeare's Globe Theatre

This replica of the Shakespeare's 16th century theatre, reconstructed just 200 yards from its original site, is the brainchild of American actor and director Sam Wanamaker. Built in wood and thatch, using techniques from 400 years ago, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre opened in 1996. More about Shakespeare's Globe Theatre
