Reviving the days when King's Cross was known for its clubs, particularly the weekly Bagley's Roller Disco at Canvas, Skate King's Cross reintroduces the pastime to the area. Opening every day of the week except Mondays, the rink will be there for eight weeks and will host a number of roller disco parties. Designed by studio architect Tarek Malin, the rink is made up of raw, heavy materials to represent the industrial heritage of the area while gold chainmail and custom light installations reference the more recent past, when the area was a hub for clubbers, ravers and skaters. The rink hosts family sessions during the day and discos in the evening, complete with special DJ nights, burgers and wings from Disco Bistro, boozy milkshakes and cocktails.
