Sky Arts Ignition: Memory PalaceAn immersive installation transporting the audience to a future London in which nature has taken over the city, Memory Palace displays commissioned works by 20 established illustrators, graphic designers and typographers including Le Gun, Oded Ezer, Erik Kessels and Luke Pearson. The Victoria and Albert Museum has come together with Sky Arts to commission a range of pieces especially for this exhibition from infographics to a detailed depiction of a prisoner's cell by Frank Laws, a previous winner of the V&A Illustration Awards who is interested in documenting the minutiae of everyday
life.

 

About Victoria and Albert (V & A) Museum

The Victoria and Albert Museum (or V & A as everyone calls it) was originally founded in 1852 to inspire and educate British designers and manufacturers. Today it houses over 4 million items spanning centuries and hundreds of cultures. The stunning collection covers European, Indian, Chinese, Korean, Japanese and Islamic artefacts ranging from ceramics, glass, metalwork and sculpture to costume, armour, weaponry and furniture.
