Feast of St George in Trafalgar SquareLondon celebrates St George's Day, the feast day of the patron saint of England, with a free festival of food, music and family games in Trafalgar Square which is festooned in red and white for the occasion. It's an excuse to enjoy some good old fashioned homegrown recipes with cookery demos from celebrity chefs who'll prepare English dishes from past and present. Enjoy free entertainment on the main stage and food in the splendid banqueting area between the square's fountains. This year's London celebrations take place on Saturday 22nd April, the day before St George's Day which is on 23rd April each year.

About Trafalgar Square

Lord Nelson, Britain's greatest military hero, and the mighty lions that surround him, pay testament to the position of Trafalgar Square at the heart of the capital, the heart of the nation, and, at one time, the heart of an empire that controlled three fifths of the world.
