Mike Daisey's solo show, The Agony and Ecstasy of Steve Jobs, tells the story of Apple's co-founder and the appalling working conditions in Apple's Foxconn factory in China. Conditions which have since improved, viewers of this play will be relieved to discover. The "fantastically good story" (The Guardian), engagingly told, is based on Daisey's own visit to China to look at the factories producing iPhones, iPods and iPads. Shown last year in Suffolk, as part of the 2012 HighTide festival, and at the Edinburgh Festival, this run at the Waterloo East Theatre is the play's London premiere.

About Waterloo East Theatre

Located in a railway arch under the tracks at Waterloo, Waterloo East Theatre is an off West End Theatre which was set up by producer Gerald Armin in September 2010. Frustrated with trying to find a viable theatre space to take risks on new exciting productions, and an affordable space to offer other new producers to hire, he decided to find his own space.
