Built in the 1670s, the College of Arms is the official repository of the coats of arms and pedigrees of English, Welsh, Northern Irish and Commonwealth families and their descendants. Officers of Arms at the college are appointed to carry out their heraldic functions in the college, but are pleased to take enquiries, for which fees may be charged.
