The Horniman Gardens have 16 acres of beautifully maintained formal and natural landscapes and offer stunning views out over London. Features include delightful rose and sunken gardens, and an analemmatic sundial where you can tell the time by using your own shadow. In the centre of the gardens is a bandstand dating from 1912 which is the focus for music performances in the summer months when the picnic area really comes into its own. No matter what the season, you can stop off at the café overlooking the gardens and the Victorian conservatory. Music performances and recitals also take place in the conservatory.
