Visitor Information
The lawns of Kenwood Park sweep down from the front of the house to a small lake in the valley below. Commanding stunning views across Hampstead Heath and London, this park is an ideal place to laze away a sunny afternoon in.
The lake is flanked by splendid gardens of colourful azaleas and rhododendrons. Covered with pockets of trees, the park is peppered with beautiful alcoves you can steal away to. The main grassy lawn is a favourite picnic spot and a good place to catch concert rehearsals for free.
On balmy summer nights you can lie back on the grassy amphitheatre and listen to classical music float up through the air. Take champagne and try and go on a fireworks night. It’s magical.
The concerts take place on a number of evenings in July and August. Handel’s ‘Firework Music’ has a regular spot on July 4th.
