Visit the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum for the history and background to the world's favourite tennis tournament and one of the most celebrated venues in London. Examine the original Championship trophies, see inside a racket-maker's workshop and attend a Victorian tennis garden party. A dedicated section on fashion looks at men's and women's outfits going all the way back to 1884, while a virtual reality tour looks forward into the future to give a glimpse into what is yet to come. There's also a video theatre showing highlights from recent Championships and film footage of great players in action from the 1920s to the present day. A new addition to the museum in 2009 is CentreCourt360, an interactive gallery located in the north-east of the new-look stadium. From the viewing platform you can preside over tennis' most hallowed of courts, examine its main features with interactive touch screens and listen to a commentary in eight different languages. It's also a great place to learn about Centre Court's new retractable roof, which means games will continue, whatever the weather.
