Centred around a two acre park in south London - the largest new green space in central London for 70 years - Elephant Park is a development in Elephant & Castle bringing 3,000 new homes and space for over 50 shops, restaurant and cafes. Vegan Ethiopian restaurant Beza, Koi Ramen Bar, serving steaming bowls of Japanese noodles, Caribbean dishes by Tasty Jerk, and Pan Asian cafe Pot and Rice are just four of the first 12 restaurants to open, offering a good spread of international food. One of the most anticipated openings is the MM Factory, a food and community hub from the people behind nearby Mercato Metropolitano. Here you'll find micro restaurants, a cookery school and flours from grains milled on site. There really is a park at the heart of Elephant Park with mature trees, play trails, a performance area and plenty of open green space. Over 1,200 trees and more than 3,000 cycle spaces were created especially for the project. One of three sites within the £2.3 billion Elephant & Castle regeneration project, Elephant Park sits alongside Trafalgar Place and One The Elephant, a 37-storey tower and pavilion, with all developments expected to be finished by 2025.
