King's Cross Filling StationKing's Cross Filling Station is a 1960s petrol station redesigned in 2012 by architects Carmody Groarke to become a public landmark building, a cultural and social venue as well as a restaurant. it comprises a sheltered terrace bar in the old forecourt, with views over the Regent's Canal, and Shrimpy's, an intimate 35-seat restaurant in the station kiosk. A striking venue which was the first to breath new life into this part of King's Cross, The Filling Station's forecourt, which can accommodate 120 standing under cover and 80 seated under cover, and restaurant are available to hire privately on a daily basis. KXFS underwent a revamp in spring 2013 and reopened with a new relaunched forecourt bar.
