Part of the ever-reliable Geronimo Inns chain, the East Hill makes a pretty good fist of being all things to all men. Simple, clean decor and a decent kitchen - serving simple British fare, sensibly priced - make a pleasant atmosphere for diners. Groups of drinkers are catered for by a fine selection of guest lagers and bitters, and well-placed screens with all the sports channels. If you don't like booming-voiced twenty-somethings shouting on their rugby teams then you should avoid this place, but if you have a reasonable tolerance for Sloanes, it's an excellent gastropub.
