Legendary tiny music venue that combines a scuzzy charm with Clerkenwell cool. Decent pub grub and friendly bar staff make it the perfect place to catch some rising stars before they're famous and soak up the vibe of London's live music scene. Since 2002 this cosy place has seen early shows from acts such as Keane, Boy Kill Boy, the Magic Numbers, KT Tunstall and SimpleKid. The upstairs area of the Betsey has also been developed into a happening space for up and coming comedians, poets and singer songwriters, playing host to some very groovy nights. This is the place to go if you want to keep your ear to the ground and your finger on the pulse of the capital’s alternative arts scene.
