On the site where Floridita and Carom used to be, where The Rolling Stones Fleetwood Mac, Jimi Hendrix and David Bowie played in its hey days as the famous Marquee Club, 100 Wardour Street now stands. On the ground floor is Wardour Lounge, all-day restaurant and bar with colourful furniture, a playroom with a pool table, games and a vintage jukebox in the lounge. But it's downstairs where the party's really at. The cavernous 100 Wardour Club downstairs - big enough for 425 diners and up to 870 standing - has a glamorous interior by Russell Sage Studios, a central stage and a late licence till 3am so you can eat, drink and dance into the early hours - it's one of the few venues in the West End to serve food until 2am. In the kitchen executive chef Liam Smith-Laing, formerly of La Petite Maison, conjures up simple, fresh and honest Mediterranean inspired food with much of the cooking done on the hot coals of both an open robata grill and a Josper. Open from breakfast, there are many dishes to share, flatbreads, sandwiches and pastas, superfood salads alongside heartier main courses like crispy pork belly.
