Set within three carefully renovated railway arches on the pedestrianised Geffrye Street in Shoreditch, Beagle is a British restaurant, bar and coffee shop set up by brothers Danny and Kieran Clancy. Danny has also recently enjoyed success with his Bonnie Gull Seafood Shack in Fitzrovia. Beagle specialises in seasonal, produce led British cooking, with James Ferguson (former Head Chef at Margot Henderson's nearby Rochelle Canteen) changing the menus on a daily basis and using a traditional wood grill for much of his cooking. In the adjoining bar cocktails are served along with British beers and wines by the carafe or bottle. Beagle also boasts a large south facing outdoor seating area for up to 60 covers, on Geffrye Street. For the name they've taken inspiration from the restaurant's location next to Hoxton Station and called it after one of the steam locomotives that used the original East London line.
