Known for its creative take on traditional Mexican tacos, Breddos' journey began in a makeshift taco shack in a car park in Hackney in 2011. In 2016 they brought their first book out and in 2017 they opened their first 40-cover taqueria in Clerkenwell, swiftly followed in the same year by their second restaurant, on Kingly Street, Carnaby. More than double the size of the original, the 84-cover Breddos Taqueria comes with a basement Mezcal and Margarita bar where drinks will be flowing 'till late, 7 days a week. The all day taqueria has several Kingly Street exclusives, a custom-made wood grill and charcoal spit, specially designed pizza oven for tlayudas (Mexican pizzas) plus, for the first time, a breakfast menu. Start the day with smoked brisket tacos with fried potatoes, egg and hot sauce or confit pork memelas with black beans and scrambled eggs, with or without grasshoppers.
