One of four Aussie style cafes in south London, Brickwood in Streatham has 28 seats that open up onto Streatham Green. Part of a small group of cafes serving an authentic Aussie cafe experience, Brickwood was founded in 2013 by Jayke Mangion from Melbourne who opened the first Brickwood on the south side of Clapham Common. Branches in Balham, Tooting Market and Streatham followed. They work closely with Caravan Coffee roasters in Kings Cross and together have created Brickwood's own 'Market Blend'. Espresso coffee is extracted via their bespoke La Marzzocco FB80s and Mazzer Robur and water is filtered via a state of the art Sierra RO (Reverse Osmosis) system for optimum purity. Quality food, good coffee and friendly service all combined with a cozy feel and great playlist. It's first come first served, Wifi is available (within reason) and well behaved dogs are always welcome.
