Good things come in small packages at this London Bridge tapas bar. Watch the hustle and bustle of Borough market and feast on authentic Spanish treats. Spanish food importers Brindisa have bagged a prime location for their busy tapas bar, the bustling setting of Borough Market is perfectly suited to the fast pace of their modern Spanish dining. Plates of tapas are whipped up at alarming speeds and usually disappear from plates at a similar pace. Specials such as scrambled eggs with artichokes and Serrano ham are written up on mirrors, the paprika red walls are decorated with rows of jarred pickled peppers and lines of Spanish wines. Al fresco tables are available for those eager to fit in some people watching outside. Market shoppers and office workers arrive en masse to sample the impressive jamoneria counter which showcases an array of quality cured hams waiting to be hand carved and devoured. Other visitors include Gwyneth Paltrow, who has used her lifestyle blog Goop to announce her love for their authentic ingredients. This is informal Spanish style dining so there are no bookings, once you have grabbed a seat begin your Spanish education with some juicy Gordal olives, then tuck into black rice with squid and be sure to finish with a short strong coffee. If you are pressed for time grab one of their legendary hot chorizo sandwiches from their hole in the wall grill outside, good honest fast food that really packs a punch. For another taste of Brindisa visit their branches in Soho and South Kensington or pop in to their produce store in Borough Market.
