This weird but wonderful Persian cafe in Sheen offers a taste of Iranian cuisine from the freshly baked sesame seed bread before you even start to traditional dolma - rice cooked with herbs and wrapped in vine leaves. Daily specials at Faanoos Restaurant always include a lamb, chicken and vegetarian option, served with rice, salad or fresh, handmade bread. There is a limited wine list but better to bring your own (they charge £4 corkage for a bottle) or try the popular Iranian drink, doogh - a yogurt based beverage often flavoured with mint and cucumber.
