Following the huge popularity of its first outlet, Honest Burgers comes to Soho, serving simple but top quality hamburgers and chips made with all British produce. Set up by Tom Barton and Phil Eles, two cooks who met at the Brighton fish restaurant Riddle and Finns, Honest Burgers has been "part of a recent revolution in London burger quality", words ascribed to the original Brixton outlet by Jay Rayner in The Guardian in 2011. "What matters," he believes, "are the patties, made from 35-day aged beef from the Ginger Pig, seasoned only top and bottom, and served on a slightly sweet, glazed brioche-like bun." And at these prices all that meaty goodness is surprisingly affordable too.
