Sam & Sam Clark, the husband and wife team who famously opened Moro on Exmouth Market in 1997, expand to their third restaurant in May 2016. In the same vein as Morito in Clerkenwell - their Moorish tapas and meze bar in Exmouth Market; like Moro but serving smaller portions - this sister restaurant in Hackney is headed up by Samantha Clark and Marianna Love, head chef at Moro, while Samuel Clark is permanently based at Moro. Moroccan breads, tapas and larger family-style plates for the whole table are made from ingredients sourced from southern Spain, Morocco, Turkey and Crete. Inside, a horseshoe shaped marble topped bar, large windows and inviting open kitchen allow for a light and airy space while handmade pottery and plants link the restaurant to nearby Columbia Road Flower Market .
