The first West London Rosa's Thai Cafe, Rosa's Chelsea brings Thai dishes with a modern twist to a Grade-II listed building on Fulham Road. Set up by husband and wife team, Alex and Saiphin Moore, who began with a popular street food stall on East London's Brick Lane, Rosa's comes to SW10 with a first for the brand - a dedicated cocktail bar serving exotic fruit and spiced blends at great value. Perch on a comfy leather stool, next to the steel-topped bar and order Thai Rum Coffee Cocktail - rum with a shot of espresso coffee, Kahlua and vanilla syrup, or a ginger and pomelo leaf martini. Drinks go well with the seasonally changing menu which includes spicy grilled pork neck salad, stir-fried crispy pork with kra prow, and Northern Thai sausage with a kick of ginger. The interior is divided into two distinct areas, a living room in the bar at the front complete with feature fireplaces, and a more minimalist restaurant at the back with dining chairs and banquette seating on a terrazzo-style flooring. White ceramic brick wall tiles, chalked-up menu blackboards and traditional Thai artwork complete the kitsch but contemporary look. The expansion of Rosa's Thai Cafe continues apace with restaurants in Spitalfields, Soho, Westfield Stratford, Carnaby and Chelsea (open late October 2014), followed a month later by a North London restaurant on Theberton Street, Angel.
