With Asian-inspired fish-focussed menus, artwork by Damien Hirst and the largest live coral reef tank in the world, Sexy Fish puts the glamour into eating out. From the Caprice restaurant group, owners of The Ivy, Le Caprice and Scott's, the 190-seat restaurant is run by director Paul Murashe (previously at Nobu), with young Ben Orpwood as head chef, whose previous experience includes stints at Zuma, Toko and the Sydney Collective Group, and David Milliere, most recently at Zuma in Bangkok, as head sommelier. Eye-catching art acts as bait for discerning diners. A large ceiling mural by Style Editor-at-Large of Vanity Fair, Michael Roberts, hangs overhead. The shimmering fish hanging above the bar are by Guggenheim architect Frank Gehry, and the pair of bronze mermaids, rendered in blue patina, at either end of the bar are by Damien Hirst who's also behind the large bronze relief panel with a mermaid and shark. For those wanting some privacy, the Coral Reef Room private dining space on the lower level has its own bar, seating for up to 48 and the largest live coral reef tank in the world.
