Carving out something of an empire for themselves in Notting Hill, Luca Longobardi and chef Chris Denney, the pair behind 108 Garage , have taken over a grand old former Victorian pub and rechristened it Southam Street . On the ground floor the food served harnesses the cooking techniques of flame and heat - from a Japanese robata grill to the Big Green Egg ceramic charcoal grill and smoker - to produce flavours from around the world. Upstairs has a raw bar, sake bar and a Japanese sushi master serving a mostly Nikkei menu while the second floor houses a tequila and mezcal bar. Here the drinks list encompasses both Grandes Marques and smaller-production, artisan houses.
