The Earl Derby opens late September 2013.

Returning to its former name, The Earl Derby on the site of the Golden Egg on Kilburn High Road gets a refit as a posh pub with a wide range of draught beers, and a breakfast of champions for brunch. Although serving decent food, a lot of time and thought has gone into the drinks list so you get Meantime Yakima Red and Camden Brewery Hells Lager alongside local cask ales, and quality ciders including Addlestones and Aspall. Aside from the traditional pub drinks there's an interesting wine list, great Bloody Marys, artisan spirits and homemade soft drinks. Classic yet creative pub dishes served in the 200-cover Earl Derby include beef brisket and beetroot hash served with fried egg, salt and pepper squid, and cider and tarragon battered cod. There's Saturday brunch and Sunday roasts to be enjoyed in the dining room decked out in navy and grey, with reclaimed timber flooring, exposed brickwork and rustic oak paneling. Chesterfield-style sofas, distressed tables and vintage chandeliers complete the lived-in look.
