Michael Kittos, proprietor of the Queen's Head & Artichoke in Regent's Park and the Norfolk Arms in Bloomsbury brings you The Fat of the Land, a pub in Marylebone serving fine pan-Meditteranean food and specialising in Catalonian food cooked by chef Alfonso Lillo. Kittos became one of the first gastropub operators when he started The Peasant in Clerkenwell in 1993, which he no longer owns but which was a pioneer of the gastropub trend. Originally from Cyprus, Kittos has been serving tapas at his Queen's Head pub where a Spanish chef cooks a mix of Greek, Spanish and Italian dishes, as well as a traditional a la carte menu. We look forward to a similar style of superior gastropub food with a Meditteranean flavour at his New Cavendish Street venture in Marylebone which opens in June 2012.
