Entirely vegan and run as a non-profit, Unity Diner is a plant-based cafe and bar in Spitalfields founded by vegan activist and enthusiast Ed Winters (also known as Earthling Ed). Having outgrown its first home in Hoxton, the larger restaurant has more space to brings its tuna-style poke bowl and vegan hot dogs to its fans - both vegan and non-vegan. Served in beautifully decorated surroundings, the 'chicken' burger, made with fried vegan soy, comes with a zinga patty, hash brown and cheese and the 'hot dog' with 'prawns' and a side of mac and cheese. Drinks on the extensive cocktail list are also made with natural, plant-based ingredients. It's all part of the brand's mission to serve plant-based comfort food which helps bring about positive change for animals and the planet. All the profits go to Surge, the animal rights organisation co-founded by Ed.
