Eighteen years after opening the original Vingt Quatre in Chelsea the 24-hour restaurant rebranded as VQ and opened a second restaurant space on Great Russell Street, just off Tottenham Court Road. On the ground floor of the St Giles Hotel, the 120 cover restaurant is a self-contained unit with a 45ft glass front. One of the few London restaurants to open 24 hours a day, with alcohol licence from 8am until 2am, the central location is sure to be even more popular than the Fulham original - which is a London institution. VQ serves classic brasserie style food offering the menu as served at the original from eggs Benedict for breakfast to burgers, salads, and sharing plates for lunch and dinner. The restaurant design includes a light wall which projects various imagery throughout the day, and - appropriately - a big clock.
