Visitor Information
This pizza place, which started in Islington , has been brought from Rome to London by founders and friends, Claudio Vescovo and Gianluca D'Angelo. At Zia Lucia they offer four types of 48-hour slow-fermented dough: traditional white flour dough, healthy wholemeal, gluten free or the more unusual vegetable charcoal black base. These are then topped with Italian favourites such as fiery nduja, spicy spianata salami, truffle honey, burrata, rich gorgonzola and vegan butternut squash cream. Customers can see the pizza chefs preparing the dough and making pizza in the l arge wood fired oven . Italian-style starters, plates, salads and desserts are among the added extras. To drink, there are negronis, bottled beers - from Italy but locally brewed in London - as well as wine and prosecco sourced from small Italian producers back home.
