Fugitive Motel co-founders, best friends David Burgess and Liam Tolan, share an obsession for craft beer and have channelled their love of the fermented drink into this craft bar and kitchen in Bethnal Green Gardens. Next to the railway arches (which promise to be the new Paradise Row when tenants take up residence from summer 2019), the bar specialises in craft beers - including low and no alcohol drinks - and takes its design influence from West Coast American motels from the '50s and '60s. An all-day cafe with co-working spaces, mornings start with coffee from local roaster partners Climpson & Sons, served alongside a selection of freshly baked pastries. Sourdough pizza is on the menu from noon until late and the drinks list extends to refined and natural wines, Aperol Spritz, Martini Prosecco and kombucha on tap.
