Taking over the former site of Zigfrid von Underbelly, Gigi's Hoxton is an all-day restaurant, bar and late night music venue on Hoxton Square. Up to 250 guests can enjoy live music and DJ sets against a backdrop of industrial design and colourful artwork. The main focal point is the long bar topped with smooth green Wasabi stone lit by neon signs which stretches along one side of the room. The opposite wall is dominated by hand-painted murals by artist Kate Philipson. To the front of the venue there's a seating area filled with relaxed sofas while the restaurant and bar features zinc-covered tables, colourful stools and grey and tan chairs. It's the brainchild of Giovanna Hussain who together with her husband, Taiyab Hussain, is behind The Corner Shop on Shoreditch High Street, The Rocksteady in Dalston and Italian restaurant The Grapevine.
